CHCI Goes Green with Toyota During Hispanic Heritage Month

The 2014 Toyota Highlander Hybrid will serve as the official vehicle of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) as it welcomes Toyota once again as a sponsor. Commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month, CHCI’s Public Policy Conference is themed “Building Our Future, Together” to reflect the growing strength of the Latino community and its impact on the success of America, including the environment. With the goal of raising awareness of the importance of reducing carbon emissions, Toyota is presenting a Highlander Hybrid to CHCI President and CEO Esther Aguilera for the organization to use to carry out its mission.

How the West Was Won: Toyota Offers Chance to Be a Fuel Cell Pioneer

It’s hard to be a trendsetter in places like Los Angeles or San Francisco, but one lucky Californian will blaze that trail when they park a new Toyota Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV) in their garage.

Toyota and the Environmental Media Association (EMA) are offering a historic opportunity to own the company’s first zero-emission hydrogen vehicle when it arrives in California in late 2015. Toyota is the first major auto manufacturer to give away a fuel cell vehicle to an individual owner.

As the infrastructure to support the vehicle is currently only available in the golden state, prize applicants must be California residents. Residents can purchase opportunities to win at www.biddingforgood.com for a cost of $100 per ticket or $500 for six. All monies raised will benefit programs of the EMA, a nonprofit 501(c)3 dedicated to harnessing the power of celebrity and the media to promote sustainable lifestyles.

The winner will be announced at the 24th annual EMA Awards, presented by Toyota and Lexus, on Oct. 18 at Warner Bros Studios. The EMA awards honor individuals within the entertainment industry for efforts to promote environmental messages. Toyota and Lexus have been presenting award sponsors for 14 years.

The FCV combines hydrogen and oxygen from the air to generate electricity that can power the car approximately 300 miles on a single fill-up. Nothing but water vapor leaves the tailpipe.

Toyota Fuel Cell Vehicle and Lexus Line Up Ready For Celebrity Close Up

On the green carpet, automotive history will be made. Toyota and Lexus are again presenting sponsors at the 24th annual Environmental Media Awards on Oct. 18, at which one bidder will win the Toyota Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV). Toyota Green Initiative Celebrates Fifth Anniversary at State Farm Magic City Classic

Toyota Green Initiative will celebrate five years of partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) during the State Farm Magic City Classic in Birmingham, Ala. Launched by Toyota in 2009, the Toyota Green Initiative (TGI) is an environmental stewardship platform that educates HBCU students, alumni, and the surrounding community on the benefits of sustainable living. This year, the program aims to inspire and spark conversations beyond college campuses through partnerships and community service.

In an effort to make the State Farm Magic City Classic more “green,” TGI will join forces with local  partners Alabama Power Company, City of Birmingham and the Birmingham Business Alliance to present a series of signature events geared toward educating – and empowering – Birmingham and surrounding communities.

State Farm Magic City Classic fans can get an early start on the weekend ‘rivalry’ by participating in the City of Birmingham’s Electronics Recycling Day at Linn Park on Thursday, October 23.  Hosted by the city’s Keep Birmingham Beautiful Commission, Alabama A&M and Alabama State will compete for bragging rights as the “green team” of the State Farm Magic City Classic.  On Friday, October 24, local sustainability experts will engage in a panel discussion presented by Alabama Power moderated by nationally syndicated radio host and MTV personality Sway Calloway.

Calloway will also join the Birmingham Business Alliance Talent Recruitment Project for a lunch with college students interested in learning more about various career paths, including green jobs. Then, TGI will lead Day of Service activities at Restoration Academy in Fairfield, Ala. where students and volunteers will install energy efficient light bulbs, build water conservation landscapes and participate in a community recycling drive.

As part of the fifth anniversary celebration, Toyota will conclude the delivery of leased Prius lift backs to twenty-two select Southwest Athletic Conference and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association schools with a joint presentation to State Farm Magic City Classic rivals Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University.

The TGI coalition, a collection of celebrities and environmental experts who speak on relevant ways to go green, participate in panel discussions and host workshops at TGI sponsored HBCU sports events in Birmingham, Ala., Charlotte, N.C. and Houston. Coalition members include actor Lance Gross, environmental advocates Earthseed, SMB Essentials CEO Lake Louise, green blogger Yoli Ouiya, environmentalist and former NFL player Will Witherspoon, and student ambassador and TGI Campus Contest Winner Stephen Graddick.

The State Farm Magic City Classic is the largest HBCU football event with a cultural tradition of pageantry and fellowship that has continued for generations. The classic is typically a week-long affair. It includes community outreach events, parades, step-shows, tailgating, and half-time shows that include the battle of the bands.

Toyota Family Teacher of the Year Award

Smithtown Toyota applauds the work of the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL), together with long-time partner Toyota, as they seek out the nation’s most exemplary teachers that engage families in education.

The Toyota Family Teacher of the Year Award celebrates teachers who are dedicated to including more than one generation in the educational process. An exemplary educator’s school or program will receive a $20,000 prize to further efforts to engage families in learning together and join an elite group of educators across the country that have been recognized as such for nearly two decades.

Every nominee will represent success stories of bringing families into the learning process, and NCFL and Toyota will recognize a second prize winner with a $2,500 prize. Both grand prize and second place winners will be announced in March at the 2015 Families Learning Summit, where proponents of education at every age will gather in Houston to further their collective mission of nurturing the spirit of continuous and intergenerational learning that drives individual, family and community success. Horsin’ Around In The Sand

As a young girl living on a farm in southern Indiana, Samantha Stone helped train and show performance horses at local and regional competitions, often with great success. This success and passion led Stone to one day dream of showcasing the beauty and power of horses throughout the country.

However, now an engineer in Toyota’s Vehicle Planning/Production Engineer division, it’s a different kind of horsepower that gets Stone’s heart pounding.

She will serve as co-driver and riding mechanic in the 47th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 race, along with Toyota Tundra Chief Engineer Mike Sweers and fellow Toyota colleagues in a lightly modified 2015 Tundra Toyota Racing Development (TRD) Pro Series truck (Full Size Stock Class), November 12 – 16.


Stone began her career with Toyota in spring 2012 upon graduating with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Motorsports Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

“I’ve always enjoyed putting things together, and growing up on a farm taught me to think outside of the box and improvise,” Stone says.  “There will be a lot of quick thinking and improvising during the Baja 1000 with my team to ensure the Tundra exceeds expectations as we seek ways to always make better vehicles for our loyal customers.”

The Baja 1000, which actually covers approximately 1,200 miles, will begin in Ensenada, Mexico and ends five days later in La Paz.

The Future Has Arrived, and It’s Called Mirai

Akio Toyoda has seen the future, and it’s called “Mirai.” That’s the name of Toyota’s new fuel cell vehicle, which the company’s president announced in a video released the night before the car’s official launch.Mirai, which means “future” in Japanese, represents a turning point for the automotive industry. The groundbreaking vehicle can travel up to 300 miles on a single tank of hydrogen, refuel in less than five minutes and emits only water vapor.Of course, the car of the future won’t become a reality without the hydrogen stations to support it. That’s why Toyota North America chief executive officer (CEO) Jim Lentz announced a new commitment to drive the development of a hydrogen refueling infrastructure in five northeastern U.S. states.


To support Mirai’s introduction to the region in 2016, Toyota is collaborating with Air Liquide to develop and supply a phased network of 12 state-of-the-art hydrogen stations targeted for New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The states and locations have been strategically selected in the greater New York and Boston areas to provide the backbone of a hydrogen highway for the Northeast corridor. Specific details of the collaboration will be revealed in the coming months.

“Toyota’s vision of a hydrogen society is not just about building a great car, but ensuring accessible, reliable and convenient refueling for our customers,” said Jim Lentz. “I am happy to announce that this vision will expand beyond the borders of California and give customers the opportunity to join the fuel cell movement.”

This new announcement builds on Toyota’s previous support for hydrogen infrastructure development in California. In May 2014, Toyota announced a $7.3 million loan to FirstElement Fuels to support the operations and maintenance of 19 hydrogen fueling stations across the state. The commitment augments funding provided by the California Energy Commission, and makes Toyota the only OEM to provide working capital for infrastructure development.

Nickelodeon and Toyota Partner to Create 2015 Toyota Sienna Inspired by the SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water

Nickelodeon and Toyota have partnered to transform everyone’s porous pal into a new 3-D concept car based on Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies’ upcoming film, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.  The SpongeBob Movie 2015 Toyota Sienna features a custom three-dimensional SpongeBob SquarePants exterior, complete with the character’s Superhero Incredibubble mask that blows real bubbles at the top of the car.  The interior features seating inspired by each of SpongeBob’s Bikini Bottom pals, along with a wood-grain dashboard, a custom Captain’s steering wheel, a blue-sky head liner and a sand-inspired floor.  The one-of-a-kind vehicle will be unveiled on Nov. 18 at the LA Auto Show and will then roll out on a cross-country promotional tour leading up to The SpongeBob Movie’s Feb. 6, 2015 premiere.

Toyota Mirai Winners Celebrate The Future

When Marianne Ellis bought the winning ticket for the Toyota Mirai fuel cell vehicle, she had her husband, David, in mind. While attending the annual Environmental Media Awards, she grabbed the last minute ticket as a potential 30th wedding anniversary gift. Surprise honey!Both David and Marianne were at the Los Angeles Auto Show today to receive ceremonial Toyota keys. They were among the first to get behind the wheel of this revolutionary technology before it arrives in California in the fall of 2015.A steadfast supporter of environmental efforts, David Ellis had been looking for his next eco-friendly set of wheels. The Environmental Media Association (EMA) auctioned off tickets to win the Toyota Mirai at the Oct. 18 awards ceremony, and Marianne Ellis’s ticket made the couple one of the first owners of the vehicle.

 

“For us, it’s about being at the cutting edge of change,” said Marianne Ellis. “It’s a chance to support environmental causes and clean energy, while showing it’s possible to make a car like this part of your lifestyle.”

The Toyota Mirai is an all-electric, four-door, mid-size sedan that emits nothing but water vapor.  Mirai’s fuel cell stack combines hydrogen gas from tanks with oxygen to produce electricity that powers the vehicle. It takes about five minutes to refuel and has a range of up to 300 miles.

“The first Toyota Mirai drivers will be trailblazers and lead drivers into the future,” said Bob Carter, senior vice president, automotive operations, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “We’re excited to have David and Marianne lead the fuel cell movement in Los Angeles.”

Water

  • Toyota saved over 93 million gallons of water in North America during fiscal year 2014.
  • Team members at Toyota’s assembly plant in Cambridge, Ontario, found a way to capture, clean and recycle over 12 million gallons of water used to rinse vehicles during the painting process.
  • Since opening in 2007, Toyota’s Texas assembly plant has used about 1.9 billion gallons of recycled water instead of drawing fresh water from the Edwards Aquifer.

Materials

  • Toyota’s North American facilities reduced, reused, recycled or composted over 95 percent of non-regulated waste during calendar year 2013.
  • Toyota has 32 North American facilities that meet the U.S. Zero Waste Business Council’s definition of a “Zero Waste Business” — one with a 90 percent or greater diversion of all waste from landfill, incineration or the environment.

Biodiversity

  • Since 2010, Toyota’s Kentucky assembly plant has established 10 beehives onsite. Some 85,000 happy honeybees produced more than 100 pounds of honey in 2014, which was given away to visitors.
  • Over 130,000 trees have been planted at Toyota’s Indiana assembly plant over the last six years. The area has become a thriving habitat for wildlife.
  • Toyota currently has over 1,000 acres across seven North American sites certified to the Wildlife Habitat Council’s Wildlife at Work program.

Outreach

  • Toyota is helping develop a battery storage system for the Lamar Buffalo Ranch at Yellowstone National Park. Featuring 208 used Camry Hybrid battery packs, the system will provide a sustainable power source for one of the most remote and pristine places in the U.S.
  • More than 23,000 folks across the U.S. pledged to save over 1.4 billion gallons of water as part of the National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation, supported by Toyota.
  • We have assisted 42 Toyota and Lexus dealers with LEED® certification. We have more LEED-certified dealers in the U.S. and Canada than any other auto manufacturer.

500,000th Corolla Speeds Off the Line at Toyota Mississippi

Toyota Mississippi is celebrating the 500,000th Corolla coming off the line at the Blue Springs, Miss., production facility. The production accomplishment was achieved faster than any other Toyota plant in the U.S. – a testament to the 2,000 hardworking team members who have answered increasing consumer demand since the plant opened in 2011.“The 500,000th Corolla vehicle is a milestone we’re excited to be celebrating,” said Fred Volf, Toyota Mississippi, vice president of manufacturing. “We are proud to produce the Corolla, and it wouldn’t have been accomplished without the 2,000 dedicated team members who support this operation.”


The milestone is one more to add to the long list of achievements for Toyota Mississippi and the Corolla. Toyota has sold more than 10 million Corollas in the U.S. and 40 million worldwide since the vehicle debuted here in 1968. The success of Corolla contributes to Toyota’s accomplished domestic manufacturing footprint and represents Toyota’s commitment to producing vehicles where they are sold. Since 1986, more than 21 million Toyota vehicles have rolled off the line in the U.S. and including dealers and suppliers, Toyota has generated 365,000 U.S. jobs.

Toyota’s local presence is felt by those in Northeast Mississippi through substantial economic investment, employment, philanthropic efforts and environmental responsibility.

In 2014, Toyota Mississippi produced nearly 180,000 Corollas. Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) expects Corolla’s popularity to stay strong with its new contemporary style, value, premium interior and upgrades; and will once again compete for top-selling model in the segment.

Toyota Tundra: The All-America Full-Size Pickup Goes All V8 and “Pro” for 2015

After a dramatic redesign for the 2014 model year the Toyota Tundra half-ton full-size pickup truck comes back with an encore for 2015. The most stylish, value-driven and capable Tundra yet gets more upgrades, including standard V8 power across the board, a new TRD Pro model with special off-road suspension and an available spray-in bed liner.The brawnier, more chiseled look of the Tundra presented an ideal platform for the 2015 TRD Pro off-road model. You’ll know it when you see it: special blackout TOYOTA grille, TRD Pro bed panel stamping, skid plate, matte satin black badges and black headlight bezels. It takes an aggressive stance on 18-inch TRD black alloy wheels wrapped in exclusive Michelin Off-Road Package tires, and announces its arrival with the throaty growl of the 5.7-liter V8 with a TRD dual exhaust system.Beneath the brawn, the Tundra TRD Pro is ready for any terrain with a complete TRD suspension upgrade that raises the front of the vehicle two inches for a level ride height and extends wheel travel at all four corners. The package includes larger diameter TRD-tuned Bilstein High-Performance shocks with internal hydraulic bump stops and piggyback external reservoirs.


The current Tundra was primarily designed by Toyota’s Calty Design Research centers in Newport Beach, Calif., and Ann Arbor, Mich., with some engineering by Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Mich., and is assembled exclusively at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in San Antonio, Tex. Its V8 engines are assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Inc., and transmissions are manufactured in North Carolina.

The Tundra works and plays like a full-size American pickup should, while delivering Toyota value through a clear model grade strategy. In addition to the new TRD Pro, the line includes the hard-working SR, volume-leading SR5, the well-appointed Limited, and two premium grades, the Platinum and unique 1794 Edition.

Named for the ranch, founded in 1794, on which the Tundra plant is located in San Antonio, the 1794 Edition reflects a western lifestyle theme with exclusive saddle brown premium leather-trimmed seating with embossed leather and ultra-suede accents. Matching soft-touch materials also accent the shift console, the front and rear door trim, and the instrument panel. Like the Platinum, the 1794 Edition includes such luxuries as heated and ventilated front seats, and Entune® Premium JBL Audio with navigation.

2015 Toyota Tacoma Shows What It Takes to Remain America’s Best-Selling Compact Pickup

What does it take to be America’s best-selling compact pickup, year after year? It takes the Toyota Tacoma. For 2015, Toyota hones Tacoma’s segment-dominating ways by adding a new TRD Pro Series that’s off-road ready and willing.It’s what hasn’t changed that keeps the Tacoma on top of its game. With its many variations, the Tacoma appeals to a broad spectrum of pickup truck customers. The Tacoma line offers a choice between 4-cylinder and V6 engines, and 2WD and 4WD drivetrains, along with two cab styles and two bed lengths. This hard-working, hard-playing pickup is built to take it and rewards owners with legendary Toyota quality, durability and reliability.Serious off-roaders have long favored the Tacoma as a basis to build their custom trucks. The 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro Series gives them a head start on their way to the desert. Replacing the limited-edition Tacoma Baja Series that was offered for 2014, the 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro Series adopts much of that model’s beefed-up body and chassis features, including 16-inch beadlock style TRD alloy wheels with BF Goodrich LT265/70R16 All-Terrain KO tires.

Suspension mods make the Tacoma TRD Pro Series off-road ready,  raising ride height 1.75 inches in front, increasing wheel travel and using TRD springs with decreased rate for better ride control over rough terrain. The front suspension, which adds 0.75-inch wheel travel, is upgraded with 60mm-piston Bilstein high-performance shocks with remote reservoirs to increase shock oil capacity for greater heat dissipation and damping sensitivity. The rear suspension is equipped with 50mm-piston Bilstein high-performance shocks with remote reservoirs, and the TRD springs add 1.5-inch to wheel travel.

A TRD Cat-back Exhaust cuts backpressure and adds a sporty growl to the 4.0-liter V6 engine. And then comes the TRD Pro Series styling: black alloy wheels, unique blackout front grille, special TRD badging and a choice of black, white or exclusive Inferno exterior colors. Inside, the TRD shift knob and floor mats add a custom touch.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, a new Utility Package for the 4-cylinder Tacoma Access Cab deletes the rear seats to expand storage capacity.

Depending on equipment, the Tacoma can be anything from a sturdy work truck to an off-road bruiser, and there’s even a Limited Package for those who want a touch of luxury in a compact pickup. The 2015 Tacoma configurations are based on two cab types: Access Cab with rear seating and the four-door Double Cab Regular Cab has been discontinued). The rear-opening doors on Access Cab models open to 80 degrees to give passengers easy entry and exit.

The Access Cab models ride on a 127.4-inch wheelbase and have a 73.5-inch-long bed. The Double Cab is offered in two versions: the 127.4-inch wheelbase with a 60.3-inch bed or 140.6-inch wheelbase with the 73.5-inch bed.

Prius v is the Family Hybrid in an Expanding Model Family

Largest in the line of Toyota Prius models, the Prius v provides room for families with active lifestyles while offering 42 mpg combined fuel economy. The “v” stands for versatility in this highly efficient vehicle that offers more cargo room than most small SUVs.For 2014, the Prius v gains daytime running lights (DRLs) and also offers the Panoramic View Moonroof as a standalone option on Prius v Three.Utilizing the same proven Hybrid Synergy Drive system as Prius, Prius v offers estimated EPA fuel economy ratings of 44 mpg city, 40 mpg highway and 42 mpg combined.In the Prius v, generous interior space and good visibility are complemented by a high seating position, ample head room and a roomy 35.9 inches of rear seat leg room. A low, wide-opening rear hatch accesses 34.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the 60/40 split folding rear seats, which expands to a generous 67.3 cubic feet with the seatbacks lowered. The fold-flat front-passenger seat allows the vehicle to carry long items. Sliding second row seats allow for easier ingress and egress and rear-storage flexibility, with a 45-degree recline for greater comfort.

The center-mounted instrument panel is a visually succinct, space-efficient design that is also easy to use. As with other Prius models, the driving controls including push button start, parking switch, drive-by-wire shift toggle, and driving mode buttons are immediately at hand. Instrument-panel controls, including a single dial automatic climate control, provide an advanced look and user-friendly function.

The Prius v cabin features a number of storage spaces, including dual glove boxes, a center console storage box and utility tray and five cup holders in large and medium sizes. Bottle holders are built into the front and rear door pockets, and most models feature an overhead storage space suitable for sunglasses. In addition to the larger main luggage compartment, there are storage units built into the sides and under the cargo platform for storing equipment such as car wash items or gloves. A special space for umbrellas is located under the rear seats.

An available Prius v seat material called SofTex is designed for easy cleaning, resisting spills and wear resistance in a family vehicle that could see heavy use on a daily basis. Soft to the touch, SofTex is lighter than leather and other traditional leatherette-type materials, and its production generates 99 percent fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) than conventional synthetic leather production.

The RAV4 Hybrid, the fuel-efficient iteration of one of the company’s best-selling, award-winning vehicles, is making its world debut in New York.The RAV4 EV is the product of a unique collaboration with Tesla Motors spurred by Akio Toyoda, president and CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation. Twenty-two months after the project announcement, Toyota and Tesla engineers revealed the vehicle at Electric Vehicle Symposium 26 in May 2012. To manage such a compressed timetable, Toyota engineers knew they’d need to be fast and flexible with development and evaluation. They devised the eFAST process (early field and suitability testing), a new protocol specifically put in place for the Rav4 EV to validate and confirm vehicle performance.

Toyota Create Turbulence with Sporty Camry and Corolla Special Editions

Toyota’s Camry mid-size sedan, the best-selling car in America for the past 13 years, and Corolla compact sedan, the world’s best-selling car of all time, debuted special edition models at the Chicago Auto Show.

Camry Special Edition

When redesigning the Camry for 2015, Toyota went bumper to bumper and floor to roof, changing or re-engineering nearly 2,000 parts. Only the roof remained unchanged, and it capped off the boldest Camry ever. Now, only one year after this major redesign, America’s best-selling car will offer the 2016 Camry Special Edition for owner’s looking for an extra dose of both aggressiveness and technology. Based on the youthful Camry SE, the limited production Camry will add sporty interior and exterior features.
The Camry Special Edition will be powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Like all Toyota vehicles, the Camry Special Edition will come standard with the Star Safety System.

Corolla Special Edition
The iconic Toyota Corolla is the world’s best-selling name plate of all-time with over 40 million sold since 1966. With its all-new 11th generation introduced in 2014, the current Corolla is the roomiest and most fuel-efficient ever.

  • All models receive 2nd generation Entune® audio across the lineup

Additionally, 17-inch alloy wheels are now available as an option for Avalon Limited (gas).

Toyota Venza Combines Sleek Car Design with SUV Versatility

Done right, practicality can make a design statement. Submitted as evidence: the Toyota Venza, a sophisticated crossover that blends sport sedan and SUV attributes in a distinctive style that’s neither sedan nor SUV. With the Venza, Toyota designers achieved midsize exterior packaging while providing cavernous interior room.Toyota made refinements inside and beneath the Venza for 2015. Upgraded Entune® audio systems provide more features and convenience, and all models now have a standard backup camera. Power choices continue with a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine with 181 hp and a 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, though the model line has been streamlined. The Venza LE is now exclusively available with a 4-cylinder engine, still with the choice of front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). The XLE grade offers a four-cylinder or V6 with FWD or AWD, and the Limited is now available only with the V6 and AWD.

Also new for 2015, the Towing Prep Package is standard for models with the V6 engine. The package equips Venza with an engine oil cooler, larger radiator fan and heavy-duty alternator and allows a 3,500-lb. towing capacity. That’s easily enough to pull a trailer carrying recreational watercraft, for example.

The Venza seats five in uncompromised comfort.  With 39.1 inches of rear seat legroom, this unique vehicle rivals full-size sedans for passenger comfort. Venza customers benefit from a raised driving position, higher sightlines and ground clearance (8.1 inches) of an SUV.  Venza’s comfortable 15.3-inch step-in height makes getting in and out easy. Toyota designers concealed a surprising70.2 cu. ft. of cargo space (with rear fold-flat seats lowered) in such a sleek design.

Driving performance and ride comfort skew to the sport sedan side of the spectrum, thanks to a refined four-wheel independent suspension and quiet ride. The Venza gets its powerful stance not only from the bold body design, but also the standard 19-inch alloy wheels on four-cylinder models and 20-inch wheels with the V6 versions.

The 4-cylinder Venza is EPA-rated at 20 MPG city/26 MPG highway for both FWD and AWD models. The V6 model has EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 19 MPG city/26 MPG highway for FWD and 18/25 for AWD.
